Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely in some parts of Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Kadhamal, and Nayagarh till 5 pm, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Thursday.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
According to midday bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershower may occur at a few places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati and at one or two places in the remaining parts of the state during the day.
Yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning has been sounded for next two days while rain may continue in the state for four days.
