Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for 14 districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 4.20 pm on Friday.
Light to rain accompanied by light thunderstorm/lightning with wind speed reaching 40 kmph may affect a few places in Balasore, Keonjhar, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Puri, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Nuapada, Balangir and Deogarh in 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
