Rain To Continue For 3 Days In Odisha & Resume Again On Jan 21; Fog Alert For 7 Districts

Bhubaneswar: Amid the continuing rise in the night temperature across Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecast rain at several places in the state for three days.

It has also issued yellow warning of dense fog for 7 districts till Thursday morning.

JAN 17

Yellow warning: Dense fog is likely at one or two places in Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Jharsuguda.

Light to moderate rain\thundershower may occur at a few places in Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack and Khurda.

JAN 18

Light to moderate rain\thundershower is likely at a few places in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and at one or two places in Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur.

JAN 19

Light rain\thundershower may occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, and Kendrapada districts.

The weather agency further stated that shallow to moderate fog is likely at one or two places across districts in the state during these three days.

While dry weather may prevail during next three days, light rain\thundershower may resume one or two places in Ganjam and Gajapati on January 23. There will be no large change in the minimum temperature during this period, it added.
