Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a nowcast warning for 20 Odisha districts till 5.20 pm.
As per the IMD forecast, light to moderate rain/thunderstorm with lightning is likely in some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Koraput, Malkangiri, Kendrapada, Rayagada, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Deogarh and Sambalpur districts during the next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
