Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued a nowcast warning for seven districts of Odisha till 7.20 pm.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely in some parts of Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khurda(including Bhubaneswar city), Dhenkanal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Balangir, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Boudh, Puri and Jajpur during the next three hours.
People have been advised to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes and to avoid movement as poor visibility and traffic disruption are likely to occur.
