Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Thursday issued a nowcast warning for 24 districts of Odisha till 7 pm.
Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely in some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Malkangiri, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Kalahandi, Boudh, Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Nayagarh, and Jajpur during the next three hours.
People have been advised to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
