Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning for nine districts of Odisha till 4 pm on Saturday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning may occur in some parts of Angul, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Keonjhar, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh and Sonepur in next two hours.
Yellow warning has also been sounded for seven more districts. Light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning is also likely in Sambalpur, Koraput, Rayagad, Gajapati, Boudh, Balangir and Nuapada. .
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
