Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning for for districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar, till 5.10 pm on Sunday.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower may affect some parts of Puri, Kendrapada, Mayurbhanj, and Khurda (including Bhubaneswar) within 3 hours. People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
The weather agency has also warned of heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) at one or two places in Nuapada, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts till 8.30 am on Monday. Thunderstorm with lightning is also likely at one or two places in Balasore, Nuapada, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
It had forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorm in Bhubaneswar.
