Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a nowcast warning for 16 districts of Odisha till 4.15 pm.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely in some parts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar city), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Nayagada, Bhadrak, Jagatsingpur, Bhadrak, Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Jajpur during this period.
People have been advised to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
