Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast light to moderate thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 30- 40 kmph for 19 districts of Odisha in the next three hours.
The districts are Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Boudh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, Jajpur, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Ganjam and Gajapati.
These districts will also experience lightning and light to moderate rain.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
