Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department on Sunday issued a nowcast warning for nine districts of Odisha till 8.25 am.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lighting is likely in some parts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack City), Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Balasore and Nayagarh during this period.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
