Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a nowcast warning for 22 districts of Odisha till 7.30 pm.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning is likely in some parts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Balasore, Bhadark, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Boudh, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Sonepur and Balangir during the next 2 hours.
People have been advised to keep a close watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
