Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning about rain and thundershower for eight districts including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack districts by 8 pm on Saturday.
Issuing a yellow warning. tThe Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said light to moderate rain and thundershower is likely to affect some parts of Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Puri, Sambalpur, Bargarh and keonjhar districts for over three hours.
Alert was also issued for state capital Bhubaneswar and the millennium city of Cuttack.
The MeT Centre advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
