Rain To Resume In Odisha From Nov 1; Mercury Hovers At 15°C & Below At 6 Places

Bhubaneswar: After a brief dry spell, Odisha is likely to experience light rain from November 1-3 under the influence of the eastward movement of waves on Bay of Bengal, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre informed on Saturday.

The weather agency has forecast light to moderate rain/thunderstorm at one or two places in Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Koraput, Khurda, Kandhamal, Rayagada on November 1 with little change in the weather during the subsequent two days. There will be no large change in the maximum and minimum temperature in the next 4-5 days, it added.

Meanwhile, the night temperature dropped to 15 degree Celsius at six places during the last 24 hours. G Udayagiri remained the coldest place in Odisha for the second consecutive day at 13.5 degree Celsius followed by Phulbani, Koraput and Daringbadi at 14 degree Celsius each and Kirei (14.4) and Similiguda (15).

Angul and Bhawanipatna registered 16 degree Celsius while Keonjhar recorded 16.4 degree Celsius and Sonepur 16.19 degree Celsius. Nabarangpur and Rourkela were at 17.4 and 18.2 degree Celsius respectively.
