Bhubaneswar: Rain coupled with thundershower and lightning is likely to lash at least six districts of Odisha on Wednesday afternoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning.
In a message issued at 2.30 pm, the IMD sounded a yellow warning for Khurda, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul and Koraput districts.
Light to moderate rain, thundershower and lightning may occur in these districts within next three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
