Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning of rain, thundershower and lightning for 17 districts of Odisha, including Cuttack and Khurda, by 5 pm on Sunday.
Issuing yellow warning, the MeT Centre said light to moderate Rain/ thundershower with lightning likely to affect some parts of Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Puri districts within the next three hours.
People are advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strike.
