Bhubaneswar: Most parts of western Odisha are likely to receive rainfall in next 24 hours under the influence of a low pressure area.
In its evening bulletin on Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the well marked low pressure area over southeast Uttar Pradesh and its neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea level persists. It is likely to move westnorthwestwards across southern parts of Uttar Pradesh during next 2 days.
The Met office forecast that under the influence of the low pressure, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places in the districts of Suundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Balangir, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and at a few places in
the rest districts of Odisha.
It has also forecast rain or thundershower in Bhubaneswar in next 24 hours.
