Sambalpur: The Sambalpur district administration ordered immediate closure of the outpatient department (OPD) of the sub-divisional hospital at Rairakhol on Monday.
The decision was taken after staff and patients tested positive for COVID-19, Rairakhol Sub-Collector Dolamani Patel said.
With rising cases in Sambalpur district, the administration has declared several areas as containment/buffer zones. Sambalpur University, Jyoti Vihar in Burla will also remain shut from July 22 to 31.
With 111 recoveries, the Sambalpur district now has 73 active cases.
