Aul: Inmates of two quarantine centres – Namauja High School and Badambila Primary School under Badambila Panchayat in the Aul block of Kendrapada district – celebrated Raja Utsav on Sunday.
Badambila Sarpanch Bharat Sethi, Panchayat Samiti chairperson Jharna Das and social activist Pradyumna Kumar Das made sure that the inmates, who are undergoing the mandatory quarantine away from their families, had something to cheer about on this festive occasion.
Food was served to the inmates along with ‘Poda Pitha’ ( the tradition cake) and fruits like mangoes, and bananas. The inmate greeted each other by maintaining social distancing.
The inmates later thanked the organizers for their efforts for making this occasion special for them amid the pandemic.
