Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot is expected to address the media at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, a day after being removed from all Congress posts.
Pilot, once close to interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi, was shown the door following his revolt against the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan.
Pilot was sacked by the Congress Party and had also been relieved from the Rajasthan party chief’s post on Tuesday.
While cracking the whip on the rebel leader, the party also removed his loyalists Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena from the state cabinet.
Randeep Surjewala, AICC spokesperson, had announced the decision to sack the young leader soon after a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting held here.
Govind Singh Dotasara, the Education Minister of the state, was appointed the new Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief.
