Sundargarh: Rajgangpur railway station in Odisha’s Sundargarh district has started operating as halt for three more trains.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had promised the people of Rajgangpur to meet their long-standing demand for having halt of three more trains during campaigning for BJP candidate for Sundargarh Lok Sabha seat Jual Oram in the last elections.
During a visit to the town on January 2 this year, Tarun Kumar Huria, DRM, Chakradharpur division, had announced that Sambalpur-Gorakhpur Express, Hatia-Bengaluru Express and Hatia-Pune Express would stop at Rajgangpur from January 4.
As per the announcement, Sundargarh MP Oram flagged off Sambalpur-Gorakhpur Maury Express train at Rajgangpur railway station on the day. Local MLA CS Rajan Ekka, Huria and other dignitaries were also present.
