Chennai: Actor Rajinikanth was discharged from Apollo Hospital late on Thursday night, according to reports. He was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on September 30.

According to reports, he had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart which was treated by a non-surgical and transcatheter method.

Senior interventional cardiologist, Sai Satish, had placed a stint in the Aorta completely sealing off the swelling.

In 2020, Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital due to fluctuations in his blood pressure. He was later discharged and advised one month of rest.

The Tamil actor also had a carotid artery revascularisation procedure in 2021.
