Bhubaneswar: The second campus of Rama Devi Women’s University here is likely to come up at Gothapatna.
Expressing satisfaction over the site selection, Higher Education Minister Ananta Das on Saturday informed that 66-acre land has been identified for the campus.
A committee headed by the vice-chancellor Dr Soumendra Mohan Patnaik will take the final call.
The committee, earlier in March, had proposed a 10 acre land inside the city for immediate use and a 100 acre land on the outskirts at Gothapatna for future campus.
Prior to that, it had decided that the varsity would be set up within Utkal University campus. This was met with protests from Utkal University students.
