Bhubaneswar: Ramadevi Women’s University has opened a centre to train its students to develop technical skills and behavioral traits in their respective fields.
The Centre Of Skill Development Training (CSDT) was inaugurated on Monday to commemorate the death anniversary of noted freedom fighter Ramadevi Choudhury.
State Agriculture and Education Minister Dr Arun Kumar Sahu was the chief guest and inaugurated the new centre.
The CSDT has been established with a grant of Rs 90 lakh from the State Higher Education Department.
For the academic year 2019-20, the centre will train 420 undergraduate students in seven skill traits in collaboration with Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Bhubaneswar.
The seven courses are medical lab technology, digital electronics, unity gaming and animation, computer accountancy, retail and hospitality, fashion designing, and heritage and eco-tourism.
