Ranji Trophy: Odisha-J&K Game Evenly Poised

Cuttack: With Odisha scoring 137 runs losing seven wickets in their second innings against Jammu & Kashmir on the second day of the four-day Ranji Trophy Group C match here on Monday, the game is now evenly poised.

Resuming their overnight score at 38 for 3, J&K lost wickets at regular intervals. Except for SP Khajuria (40), Abdul Samad (20) and Aquib Nabi (23), six batsmen failed to reach the double figure as the innings was folded at 124 giving the hosts a first innings lead of 37 runs.

For Odisha, Basant Mohanty claimed four wickets while DB Pradhan and SB Pradhan shared three and two wickets respectively.

The hosts in their second innings were also in trouble after the fall of the two openers, Shantanu Mishra (26) and AR Sarangi (26).

At the draw of stumps, Odisha were 136 for 7 with Rajesh Dhuper (6) and Rajesh Mohanty (4) remaining at the crease.
