Mumbai: Bollywood star Ranveer Singh loves sport.
His outstanding portrayal of India’s first World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev in the recent movie ‘83’ was facilitated by the fact that he follows cricket and cricketers. He is an avid football fan too. But not many know that he loves playing basketball.
Invited by NBA, Ranveer flew all the way from Mumbai to Cleveland to participate in an All-Star Celebrity Game which took place on February 18.
Ranveer was so overwhelmed by the love fans showered on him during the celebrity game, he was moved to tears.
The Gully Boy actor shared several pictures from the All-Star game on social media and wrote a heartfelt note on Instagram.
“I just had the most incredible game at the all-star game. But the highlight by far was the love and energy that my fans gave me at the game. I’m deeply touched and overwhelmed. Literally brought me tears by the end of it. The grace of God through you all. Not sure what I’ve done to deserve this kind of love. But I am filled with just pure gratitude. Thank you all from the deepest embers of my heart,” the note read.
Among Ranveer’s upcoming films are Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus.
