Ranveer Singh Poses In The Buff For A Photoshoot; Know Other Celebrities Who Posed Naked

New Delhi: Bollywood star Ranveer Singh left little to imagination when he stripped down to the last shred of cloth and went totally nude in a series of images for a magazine shoot. While the internet went into a frenzy,  it actually doesn’t come as a surprise from the eccentric and experimental actor

The ‘Padmavat’ actor paid tribute to legendary actor Burt Reynolds, who was considered a sex symbol and an icon of American pop culture. Ranveer’s pictures are going viral on social media and netizens cannot stop drooling over them. In one of the pictures, shot for Paper magazine, Ranveer can be seen lying on a rug naked recreating Burt Reynolds’ famous photograph.

Ranveer while talking to the magazine expressed how he feels about fashion and nakedness. “It’s so easy for me to be physically naked, but in some of my performances, I’ve been damn fucking naked. You can see my fucking soul. How naked is that? That’s being actually naked. I can be naked in front of a thousand people, I don’t give a shit. It’s just that they get uncomfortable,” he told Paper magazine.

Ranveer Singh’s bold act does not come as surprise to the generations born in the 70s and 80s because much before him, model and actor Milind Soman, who continues to be the heartthrob of many to this day, had done a provocative photo shoot with model Madhu Sapre, which continues to be talked about even today. In fact, in an Instagram post two years back, the actor-fitness enthusiast wondered how it would have been received by the audience today.

The picture is from a photo shoot for a footwear advertisement that released in 1995. It had Milind and Madhu pose naked with a snake wrapped around them and shoes as their only accessory.

 

Years later, on the occasion of his 55th birthday, Milind Soman dared to bare it all once again as he posted a photo of himself running on a beach in Goa in his birthday suit. The photo had stoked a controversy and an FIR under Section 294 (obscenity) of the Indian Penal Code, along with other relevant sections of the Information Technology Act at the Colva police station in South Goa district.

In 1974, Odissi exponent and Kabir Bedi’s wife, Protima Bedi ran naked on Juhu Beach for a newly launched Cine Blitz magazine. Of course, she raised quite a lot of eyebrows and stirred a controversy. The idea behind the photoshoot was to show freedom and liberation.
