Ranveer Singh Receives Fresh Threat From Bishnoi Gang: Report

Mumbai/India: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has received a fresh threat message, allegedly from the notorious Bishnoi gang, according to a Hindustan Times report.

In the audio message sent by an unidentified person claimed to be linked with the gang, a voice is heard saying “baat se mukarne ki saza kya hoti hai tujhe bataenge” (“we will show you what the punishment is for going back on one’s word”), and urging Singh to “line pe aajao” — roughly translated as “fall in line — i

f you don’t, you’ll see later what we do.”

The voice note also reportedly makes reference to director Rohit Shetty and the wider film industry in its warning.

This development comes amid heightened safety concerns for Bollywood personalities following a recent firing incident outside Shetty’s Mumbai residence, which police have linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in their ongoing probe.

In response to the threat, security arrangements around Singh’s home — where he lives with his wife, actor Deepika Padukone — have been strengthened with armed personnel deployed at the housing complex.

Authorities are investigating the origins of the voice note and its authenticity, including forensic analysis of the audio and digital tracking of the message’s source, as part of a broader Crime Branch inquiry into multiple intimidation and extortion attempts linked to the gang.
