Mumbai: ‘Dhurandhar 2’, second instalment of the Ranveer Singh-starrer blockbuster spy-thriller, is slated to hit theatres on March 19.
Two months ahead of its theatrical release, reports claim that the film’s teaser will be attached to Sunny Deol’s upcoming war drama ‘Border 2’, scheduled to be released on January 23.
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, shared on Reddit, director Aditya Dhar has ‘re-edited the end-credit sequence’ of ‘Dhurandhar’ as a teaser.
Earlier, the teaser for the second part, which was already played at the end of part one, went viral on social media, giving fans glimpses of the upcom
ing sequel.
Reacting to the news, a fan commented, “Smart move! Big screen is the only way to feel this madness.”
Another said, “Wow double dhamaka!”
One user wrote, “One more reason to catch Border 2 in theatres. Eagerly waiting for Sunny Deol’s film as well as the teaser.”
“I am so happy that they are releasing the second part so soon or we usually have to wait years by then we already forget the story,” said another.
The sequel will reportedly show Hamza’s backstory (played by Ranveer), tracing his rise in Lyari and the completion of his covert mission.
The film also features Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
‘Border 2’ is a sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 classic blockbuster war drama ‘Border’, and is based on the 1971 India–Pakistan war and real-life events surrounding it.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, alongside Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana.
