Cuttack: A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by her father-in-law at Itamundali village under Mahanga police limits in Odisha’s Cuttack district.
According to reports, , a resident of Itamundali village, had been harassing his daughter-in-law both physically and mentally after she failed to give birth to child
On Friday, the accused Choudhury Mahendra Das called his daughter-in-law to his room and attempted to rape her. Hearing her screams for help, her husband Sarada Prasad rushed to rescue his wife.
The elderly man did not stop at that and assaulted his son and daughter-in-law. The couple filed a complaint at Mahanga police station against the accused.
Mahanga IIC Ranjan Kumar Parida said an FIR has been lodged against the accused but no arrest has been made yet and investigation is on.
