Bhubaneswar: Amid vociferous demands by the Opposition to punish the accused involved in the gang rape of a minor girl in Kunduli area in Odisha’s Koraput district who committed suicide at her native village Musaguda under Pottangi police station limits on January 22, a special team of the State Crime Branch left for Kunduli on Monday.
Informing this to the media, Crime Branch SP Prasant Jena said the team apart from investigating the gang rape case would also investigate into the suicide of the victim as per the directive of the Director General of Police (DGP).
“Besides, the DGP has also asked the team to probe into the forensic report relating to the gang rape of the victim prepared by the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL),” the SP added.
