New Delhi: The Union government has launched a common Rashtriya Puruskar Portal to bring together the several civilian awards instituted by various Ministries/Departments/Agencies of the Centre to recognize people who have excelled and made exceptional contributions in their respective fields.
The portal — https://awards.gov.in – will ensure transparency and public partnership, and facilitate citizens to nominate individuals/organizations for various awards.
Currently, nominations/recommendations are open for the following awards:
* Padma Awards — Nomination open till September 15, 2022
* Sardar Patel National Unity Award — Nomination open till July 31, 2022
* Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award — Nomination open till June 16, 2022
* Jeevan Raksha Padak series of Awards — Nomination open till September 30, 2022
* Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Telecom Skill Excellence Award — Nomination open till June 16, 2022.
