Ratan Tata Among Newly Appointed Trustees Of PM CARES Fund

New Delhi: Industrialist Ratan Tata has been named as one of the trustees of the PM CARES Fund. The TATA Sons chairman emeritus is among the eminent personalities, including former Supreme Court judge Justice K T Thomas, and former Deputy Speaker Kariya Munda, who were nominated to the trust.

In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office welcomed the trustees for becoming an integral part of the PM CARES Fund. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are the other trustees of the PM CARES Fund.

The announcement came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the PM CARES Fund during which a presentation was made on the various initiatives undertaken with the help of the PM CARES Fund. Ratan Tata was also present at the meeting.
