Mumbai: Leading industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata, an animal lover, has named his favourite dog ‘Goa’.
The Tata group chairman emeritus is particularly fond of street dogs. He posted a picture of him spending Diwali with dogs, including his “office companion” named Goa.
“A few heartwarming moments with the adopted Bombay House dogs this Diwali, especially Goa, my office companion,” Tata wrote on Instagram alongside the picture.
“He was a stray puppy when he got into my colleague’s car in Goa and came all the way to Bombay House. Hence the name Goa,” Tata explained in response to a query.
There is a special kennel at the Tata Group headquarters in Mumbai, which has been dedicated to the stray dogs living in and around that area.
