Mumbai: Legendary industrialist, visionary and philanthropist Ratan Tata touched countless lives.
As a tribute to Tata, who passed away on October 9, Zee Media will be making a biopic on him.
“We at ZEE Entertainment Enterprises mourn the sad demise of Padma Vibhushan Shri Ratan Tata. Ratan Tata ji is a name that has been a proof of leadership, vision, compassion and work ethic for many generations of Indians. Humble tribute to the leader of the corporate world, who made a significant contribution to India’s economy, which led to the upliftment of millions of Indians,” Zee Media said in a press release.
The makers didn’t disclose the film’s cast and crew.
That didn’t stop netizens from ‘selecting’ their choice of actors who can portray the young and old Ratan Tata in the biopic.
Some suggested Jim Sarbh’s name for playing a young Tata, and many wished to see Naseeruddin Shah or Boman Irani portraying the elderly Tata’s character.
After one user suggested “Jim Sarbh as young Ratan Tata” on X, another person pointed out, “Both have the same smile.”
“Naseeruddin Shah would be best for this role,” wrote another user, while another person felt Boman would suit Tata’s character.
Interesting, Boman had played the role of Tata in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic, helmed by Vivek Oberoi.
