Around 200 carpenters and artisans work on this
There is no guide manual to construct the chariots. The knowledge is passed by mouth in a particular family of carpenters.
Around 4000 logs of wood are used, all supplied free by the Govt of Odisha
After the Rath Jatra, the chariots are disassembled and the wood is used to cook food in the Jagannath Temple's kitchen
