Balasore: In a tragic incident, one person was killed while eight others were grievously injured during Rath Yatra celebrations in Odisha’s Balasore on Friday when the chariot of the sibling deities came in contact with an 11-KV wire at Gudikhala mutt.
According to reports, a metallic part of the chariot came in contact with the high-tension wire as devotees were pulling the chariot.
The victims were rescued to the Government Hospital at Basta. One of them, identified as Anil Kumar Sahu, was declared brought dead.
