Puri: In a partial modification to the curfew order, the Puri administration on Wednesday withdrew the restrictions from some parts of the town before the earlier announced 8 pm.
However, the curfew will remain in force from Badasankha to Banambar Chhak via Mishra Lane, Kumbharapada Sahi; Banambar Chhak to Matiapada Chhak via Old Nabakalebar Road; Matiapada Chhak to Asutosh Math Chhak; Asutosh Math Chhak to Nilakantha Mandir Chhak and Nilakantha Mandir Chhak to Badasankha .
The restrictions in the above areas will remain in force till 6 am of July 14 to ensure smooth Pahandi of the Lords from the chariots to the Adapa Mandap of Shri Gundicha temple.
During the curfew, vehicular movement will not be allowed in these areas other than the authorized vehicles and vehicles carrying essential services/medical services.
Besides, public congregation and movement of any individual will be strictly prohibited in these areas while all shops, including medicine shops, commercial establishments and offices (except essential services), will remain closed, the notification added.
