SJTA chief administrator invites Shankaracharya for darshan of the Lords on three chariots during Rath Yatra
Puri: Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati will have darshan of the sibling deities on the three chariots during Rath Yatra here on Monday.
Chief Administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Krishan Kumar said he met the Puri Shankaracharya at Gobardhan Peeth and invited him for darshan.
The Shankaracharya has accepted the invitation and he along with six disciples will have darshan of the Lords on the three chariots, Kumar told the media.
He said the Sankaracharya told him to ensure the smooth conduct of Rath Yatra and advised people to stay at home and see the yatra on TV in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
