Mumbai: Mumbai’s Esplanade Court on Monday allowed Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to take Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan and Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhadicha on remand till October 7 in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case.
While rejecting Aryan’s bail plea, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar said that the new incriminating material found against the accused persons coupled with the fresh arrests need to be corroborated, Live & Law reported.
The NCB has sought 9-day custody of the other five accused in the case.
Aryan was arrested and charged under Sections 8(C) read with 20, 35 and 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act following a late-night raid on a cruise ship off Mumbai coast on Saturday.
