Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has senior Supreme Court advocate Sanjay Sen as advisor to the Energy Department.
‘Government have been pleased to appoint Sanjay Sen, Sr Advocate, Supreme Court of India as Advisor to Energy Department with immediate effect,” read the notification issued by the Energy Department on Saturday.
After graduating with accounts honours from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack, Sanjay joined Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. In 1992, he was enrolled as an Advocate in the Orissa State Bar Council. He then moved to Kolkata and began practising in chambers specialising in the company side. He then did his LLM from Old College, University of Edinburgh (UK). Following which, he shifted to Delhi. He set up his independent law practice in 1997 and later went on to establish Praxis Partners, a boutique law firm.
In 2013, he was designated as senior advocate by Orissa High Court.
