Ravi Dubey To Play Lakshman In Ranbir Kapoor-Starrer ‘Ramayan’

Mumbai: Television actor Ravi Dubey will be sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan.’

Dubey told Connect Cine that he will be playing Ram’s younger brother Lakshman in the film.

“I am playing Lakshman in the film. I finally have the permission from the makers to reveal this. I didn’t talk about it all this while because I didn’t want to give irresponsible statements and spoil Namit (Malhotra) and Nitesh sir’s plans to reveal the cast,” the actor confirmed.

The lead role of Ram will be played by Ranbir, whereas actress Sai Pallavi will be portraying the character of Sita in the film.

Sharing his experience of working with Ranbir, Ravi said, “Every time he is in front of camera, you will see he has been at it. He is the only commercial, viable artist of this generation.”

The film will be released in two parts. The first part will hit theatres in 2026, and the second part will be released a year later.
