Bhubaneswar: Protesting against the cancellation of the students’ union elections, irate students of Rama Devi Women’s University on Monday staged a sit-in dharna and locked the main gate of the varsity.
Blaming the Higher Education Minister for cancellation of the elections, some students smeared his poster with black paint. However, a group of students supporting the decision of the government were seen arguing with the agitators.
The students withdrew the dharna after police rushed to the spot and pacified them.
