Puri: The recommendation of the Justice BP Das Commission of Inquiry for the reforms in the Jagannath temple in Puri will be implemented in letter and spirit, said chairperson of the temple managing committee Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Monday.
“As the Commission has recommended a slew of reforms measure for the convenience of the devotees and the overall security of the Jagannath Temple, the temple administration will take all steps to implement those,” Mahapatra told mediapersons here.
Notably, acting on the recommendation of the Commission, the district administration began the eviction of unauthorized structures near the boundary wall (Meghanada Pacheri) on Monday.
However, the decision to declutter the remaining areas around the 75-metre radius of the temple boundary will be taken up later.
