Bhubaneswar: A record number of 2129 COVID-19 patients recovered from the disease and were discharged from different hospitals in the state on Sunday.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department, 276 patients from Khurda, 265 from Ganjam, 178 from Sundargarh, 172 from Cuttack, 153 from Koraput, 144 from Bhadrak, 130 from Nayagarh, and 122 from Kandhamal district recovered on the day.
Similarly, there were 90 recovered cases from Balasore, 84 from Puri, 80 from Malkangiri, 68 each from Sambalpur and Rayagada, 56 from Mayurbhanj, 50 from Gajapati, 27 from Jagatsinghpur, 24 from Jajpur, 23 each from Dhenkanal and Keonjhar districts.
The recovered cases from other districts are as follow:
19 from Kalahandi
18 from Angul
16 from Kendrapada
14 from Balangir
13 from Jharsuguda
9 from Nabarangpur
6 from Boudh
1 from Sonepur.
With the day’s figure, the total recovered cases of Odisha have gone up to 54,405, the department stated in a tweet.
