Record High Of COVID-19 Cases Raises Tally To 1169 In Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: The COVID-19 caseload in Sambalpur district went up to 1169 on Monday with the highest single-day spike of 168 positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Of the 169 new cases, an overwhelming majority of 134 patients were reported from Sambalpur municipality.

The district administration informed that 93 of the newly infected 93 were local contact cases and 75 were detected during active surveillance. The infected included nine COVID warriors.

Contact tracing of the new cases is underway, the administration said.
