London: The number of COVID-19 cases reported globally in the last 24 hours was 6.57 lakh. This is the highest number recorded since the outbreak of the global pandemic in March this year, according to World Health Organization (WHO).
Europe saw the majority of new cases at over 2.85 lakh, followed by North and South America (over 2.69 lakh).
Till date, the virus has infected over 5.3 crore people around the world.
