Bhubaneswar: With 401 COVID-19 patients recovering from the disease on Thursday, the total recovered cases in Odisha have crossed 7400-mark. It’s the highest single-day recovery in the state till date.
According to the Health & Family Welfare department, the highest 100 patients recovered in Ganjam district on the day, followed by 67 in Gajapati, 42 in Cuttack, 32 in Jajpur, 19 in Deogarh, 18 in Koraput, 15 in Khurda, 14 in Bargarh, 14 in Bhadrak, 12 in Balasore, 10 in Keonjhar and 10 in Malkangiri districts.
The number of recovered patients in other districts is as follows:
9 from Jagatsinghpur
7 each from Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj
6 from Kandhamal
5 each from Nayagarh and Sambalpur
4 from Nabarangpur
3 from Kendrapara
2 from Dhenkanal
The total number of recovered cases from COVID-19 now stands at 7,407.
Meanwhile, the total COVID-19 tally went up to 11,201 after the state recorded its highest single-day spike of 577 new coronavirus cases reported from 22 districts.
Four persons succumbed to the disease including three in Ganjam district and one in Bhadrak, taking the toll to 52.
