The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC), Bhubaneswar, has invited online applications from interested and eligible candidates for filling up 806 posts of forest guards (on contractual basis) that have come up in various divisions of Forest and Environment Department. Educational Qualification
- The minimum required educational qualification for forest guard posts is Class X pass from any recognized Board or Institution.
- The candidates must be able to speak, read and write Odia. Details regarding required qualification in Odia language is available on the official notification.
Age Limit
The candidate must be between 18 and 32 years of age as on January 1, 2019.
Application Fee
Application fee for candidates belonging to the General category is Rs 100. SC/ST/PwD candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Selection Process
According to the official notification, candidates will be selected through wr
itten test, physical standard measurement, physical efficiency test, sports and NCC certificate. The total marks will be 100. Candidates will have to appear for the physical standard measurement test before the District Level Physical Test Board. Candidates who do not qualify the physical standard measurement test, will not be allowed to participate in further recruitment process.
The written test, which will be of 50 marks, comprising 100 questions, will have questions from arithmetic, general knowledge, translation and computer knowledge.
