Mumbai: Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan’s recent conversation on Navya Nanda’s talk show has left Redditors worried and concerned about Aishwarya Rai’s relationship with her in-laws.
In a viral video clip from the talk show, Shweta is seen snapping at her daughter, Navya for interrupting her while she was speaking.
“Excuse me, I am talking. Please don’t cut me off,” Shweta sternly tells her daughter. Navya immediately apologises to her mother.
Soon, Jaya cuts off Shweta and the latter went on to say, “I want to say something Mama, now I have lost my thought too. You guys don’t let me speak.”
To this, Jaya quips, “Because you are speaking too much.”
As soon as the clip of the Bachchan’s candid conversation started doing the rounds on Reddit, users flooded the comments section expressing their concern for Aishwarya for dealing with such ‘toxic’ in-laws.
“I’m getting anxiety imagining myself as the bahu of that household already. And I am a man,” wrote a user.
“Imagine coming out from an physically abusive relationship to get married in a mentally/emotionally toxic max family. Bhagwan ne sundarta di toh sukun nahi diya,” wrote another.
One user wrote, “Imagine if this made to the final cut, how much toxicity had to be edited and removed from the entire bit!!!!!”
Another commented, “Aish is strong. Strong enough to avoid these 3 completely.”
However, some others felt the conversation was normal just like in any other houselhold.
One wrote, “Why are people pretending like they have never had any arguments like these with their parents or siblings?”.
“Tbh this seems like pretty much normal family argument like me, my mother and my nani have arguments like that where we all talk at the same time and didn’t let other complete the sentence!”, posted another.
“I saw this on insta and was disappointed seeing the comments cos everyone was talking about how toxic this is, but for me this is normal cos this is literally how me and mom talk when we sit together,” wrote one.
